Last week, the VESA DisplayHDR specificafions came out.
Today, Samsung announced the C49HG90, their new 49 inch QLED FreeSync gaming monitor, meets the DisplayHDR 600 certification.
This is a first in hopefully many future gaming monitors to gain VESA HDR certifications. In addition, brighter backlights also enables higher-quality low-persistence modes (such as ULMB or Samsung’s version) even though some displays lose HDR in low-motion-blur modes.
For those interested in Samsung CHG90, their 49″ 144Hz 32:9 ultrawide gaming monitor, it is currently available online.
