Samsung 110-inch 4K MicroLED Goes on Sale in Korea

Samsung has today unveiled a new Micro LED TV that measures 110-inches in size and is slated for a first quarter release of 2021 in Korea.

According to the press release, Samsung plans to sell the TV in US, Middle East and some European markets. It’s going to be priced at 170 million won, which works out to about $150,000 and pre-orders will open up later this month.

This 110-inch giant uses micrometer-sized LED lights to eliminate the backlight and colour filters utilized in conventional displays. It’s a self-illuminating and produces light and colour from its own pixel structures.

Samsung’s previous WALL display supported 120Hz refresh rate, so it is also highly likely that this model also does as well.

It displays 100% of the DCI and Abode RGB colour gamut, and also delivers wide colour gamut images taken with high-end DSLR cameras. The micro-AI processor delivers 4K HDR content and allows for a total lifespan of 100,000 hours too.

Viewers will be able to use Multi View, watching up to four sources of content up to 55-inch sized split screens.

Multiple devices can be connected at once and apps can be used simultaneously on the screen. With audio, it has the Majestic Sound System that gives out 5.1 channel sound without any external speakers.
