BenQ Announces Zowie XL2746S, a 240 Hz Gaming Monitor with DyAc+ and 0.5ms GtG

BenQ has announced a new monitor that has been designed with esports in mind. The Zowie XL2746S is a 27-inch monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate and DyAc+ motion blur reduction technology, allowing gamers to see crosshair and impact points more clearly by negating spraying blur.

DyAc is BenQ’s brand of display motion blur reduction, featuring a voltage-boosted strobe backlight that doesn’t lose nearly as much brightness as most strobe backlight modes.

The monitor runs at 1920×1080 and features a TN panel, and also has a 0.5ms GtG response time. The Zowie XL2746S really seems to shine with some of the added extras that are on offer from BenQ. The monitor comes with a shield on the perimeter of the monitor to block out any glare or light from unwanted sources.

BenQ monitors are also typically capable of below 0.5ms MPRT too as well, thanks to highly adjustable strobe pulse width settings. A panel capable of 0.5ms GtG as well as 0.5ms MPRT (see GtG versus MPRT), combined with voltage-boosted brightening, likely produces excellent motion blur reduction with low strobe crosstalk.

It also features a Black eQualizer, which can used to light up darker spots in-game. It’s also great for finding the optimum viewing angles with height, tilt and angel adjustment. Finally, there’s also the S-Switch included with the monitor which allows you to change up the display settings and modes with three different profiles.
